Rashieda Davids

Rashieda Davids is the UKZN SHEFS Programme Manager and Researcher in the disciplines of environment, ecosystem services, transdisciplinarity and adaptive organisational learning. Rashieda is a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA)) and a Registered Professional Natural Scientist: Environmental Science (South African Council of Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP)). Prior to joining the research sphere, Rashieda worked in the government and private sectors, where her roles included facilitating sustainable development and planning,environmental project management, biodiversity conservation planning, strategic environmental assessment, environmental impact assessment, broad stakeholder and authority engagement and environmental stewardship. Some of her key roles include serving as an EAPASA Assessor for applications for registration; participation in the establishment of EAPASA; Research Coordinator of the Durban Research Action Partnership; Chair of multi stakeholder environmental management fora; and EXCO Member: Education Portfolio of the South African Black Technical & Allied Careers Organisation (SABTACO).
