Dr Diana Feliciano

Diana Feliciano is a transdisciplinary scientist with degrees in Forestry Engineering, Economics (MSc) and Geography (PhD). Her work covers the implications of land use and management change on climate change and has a strong focus on stakeholder engagement. Her research has been funded by the Climate Change, Food Security and Agriculture (CCAFS) programme of CGIAR, the World Bank, NERC (Knowledge Exchange fellowship on the implementation of agricultural sustainable practices) and, more recently, the Wellcome Trust. She has been also funded by the European Co-operation in Science and Technology (COST) while acting as Management Committee member, Steering Committee member and Working Group leader in COST Action 1201 – FACESMAP – Forest Land Ownership Changes in Europe: Significance for Management and Policy. Feliciano was recently seconded to the Committee on Climate Change in London to work on land use and climate change mitigation. She was a scientific advisor to the UNECE/FAO Forest Ownership Core Group between 2014 and 2018. Her main interest is on how land use and management changes can contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation both in developed and developing countries, and how these contribute to well-being and poverty alleviation.
