Professor Rosemary Green

Rosie Green is a Professor in Environment, Food and Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and sits on the management committee of the Centre on Climate Change and Planetary Health. The focus of her work is on the links between nutrition, environment and health, and in particular on sustainable diets and food systems. She also has an interest in developing new interdisciplinary methods and metrics to explore the impacts of food and agriculture on the environment and health. As well as being co-PI on the SHEFS research programme, she is a co-investigator on the AMPHoRA project investigating health impacts of changes to UK diets and agriculture and on the GCRF South Asia Nitrogen Hub focusing on health impacts of changing nitrogen use. She also co-leads the Pathfinder Initiative and accompanying Lancet Commission seeking the most effective net-zero strategies for population health.
