Anna Taylor

Anna Taylor OBE joined the Food Foundation as its first Executive Director in 2015. Prior to that, she had spent five years at the Department for International Development (DFID), where she led the policy team on nutrition and supported the delivery of the UKās global commitments to tackle undernutrition. Before joining DFID, Taylor did an MSc in Human Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and then worked for a number of international organisations including Save the Children and Unicef, as well as at the UK Department of Health. In 2017 she became a member of theĀ London Food Board, and in 2019 she joined the Board of the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington DC. She has been at the forefront of international leadership on nutrition for several years, supporting programmes in a wide range of contexts in Africa and South Asia; she was awarded an OBE in 2014 for her work to address the global burden of undernutrition.
